Mechanism of action
Kelo-Cote dries quickly, forming an elastic, waterproof and breathable film on the skin. When applying Kelo-Cote gel to the scar, the gel forms a protective barrier at the site of application, which helps to reduce chemical, physical and bacterial effects, while maintaining the water balance of the skin. This creates conditions for the normalization of collagen synthesis processes and prevents the scar from growing, as well as improves the appearance of the scar itself.
After applying Kelo-Cote, the severity of keloid and hypertrophic scars, itching and discomfort decreases, color is restored; scars are smoothed and softened, their aesthetic appearance improves. In accordance with International Clinical Guidelines for Scar Therapy, silicone has been recommended as the first line of therapy for all types of scars and an essential element for preventing the formation and reducing the severity of keloid and hypertrophic scars. Kelo-Cote can be applied to the skin in the area of joints, on the places of bending, on the area of hair growth, on large scar surfaces resulting from burns and extensive injuries. Kelo-Cote can be used with pressure bandages or other aids.

Indications for use

Kelo-Cote gel is designed to prevent the formation, reduce the severity and improve the aesthetic appearance of both old and fresh scars (including hypertrophic and keloid) resulting from surgical interventions, injuries, wounds and burns. Kelo-Cote is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin.

Method of application

— Убедитесь, что кожа на пораженном участке чистая и сухая.
— Нанесите Kelo-Cote на пораженный участок сплошным тонким слоем и дайте ему высохнуть.
— Наносите Kelo-Cote два раза в день.

Если Kelo-Cote не высох в течение 4-5 минут, возможно, гель был нанесен толстым слоем. В таком случае аккуратно удалите излишки и дайте оставшемуся гелю высохнуть. Рекомендованная продолжительность применения геля – не менее 60-90 дней. Для больших и застарелых рубцов может потребоваться более длительный курс применения. Дальнейшее применение геля рекомендовано, если после первых 90 дней применения улучшение внешнего вида рубца продолжает наблюдаться.
Время полного высыхания геля Kelo-Cote зависит от разницы температуры геля и кожи. Чтобы сократить время высыхания в жарком климате, храните Kelo-Cote в холодильнике. Чтобы сократить время высыхания геля в холодную погоду, можно использовать фен для волос (средний уровень температуры).

Особые указания
